De-mystify.ai is a central and collective initiative coming out of a broader research on how to increase AI-literacy among teens and young adults. The research, which is still on-going, has three parts:

(1) collection and study of public material (articles, videos, documentaries, interviews with experts, books and research papers) on the technical, ethical, societal, educational and economic aspects of AI as well as the effects of this technology on our physical, cognitive and mental health.

(2) primary research through interviews with experts in the field and educators in order to understand the transformative power and risks of the upcoming AI revolution, while reflecting on the strategies to mitigate challenges and turn uncertainty into advantage.

(3) review of current efforts and resources available to young people considering to enter deeper into AI and learn how to use it responsibly.

All three parts of the research have informed the design and content of de-mystify.ai and will continue to inform future evolutions of it, as the research progresses into more advanced stages.
